After The Factory: Film Screening in Holyoke

When a city’s economy collapses, what keeps the population going? What can be done to create jobs? What can be done with abandoned factories? Holiday Holyoke – A Pop Up Shop

Last week (December 14 through 16), a shop popped up at 330 High Street in Holyoke, and Holyoke residents turned out in full force to support it. Field Trip for Creative Placemaking

On December 11 and 12, staff from Holyoke’s Planning and Economic Development team visited Providence, Rhode Island to learn best-practices on creative placemaking from cultural entrepreneurs who are at the top of their field. Holyoke awarded $30K for Creative Economy

The Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC) this week announced new grants to support artist work and live spaces across the Commonwealth through their ArtistLink grant program. The MCC awarded the City of Holyoke $20,000 and an additional $10,000 to the Canal Gallery onDwight Street.
