Holyoke Redevelopment Authority Gives Green Light to Two Proposals

The Holyoke Redevelopment Authority (HRA) Board reviewed and accepted two private investment proposals at their October 21st meeting, directing Planning & Economic Development staff to negotiate and finalize agreement terms over the next few weeks in accordance with the City’s Urban Renewal Plan (URP) titled “Connect. Construct. Create. – A plan for the revitalization of Center City Holyoke”.

Canal Galleries to be Developed into Market-Rate Housing

Holyoke Manufacturing Company Plans Expansion with Assistance From State & Local Tax Incentives

In an effort to accommodate for a growth in production, International Container Company, LLC will build an expansion to its facility and operations headquartered at 110 North Bridge Street in Holyoke.  The expansion is planned with the assistance of both local tax incentives and tax credits provided through the Commonwealth’s Economic Development Incentive Program (EDIP).

City Welcomes First Rooftop Solar Installation

The first commercial rooftop solar project in the City of Holyoke began operations in Holyoke this week at the Expressive Design Group facilities located at 49 Garfield Street in Holyoke.  With 3,762 panels occupying more than 4 acres of roof space, the installation has almost 1 Megawatt (MW) of generation capacity.
