City Council approves major redevelopment initiatives

On the evening of December 4, 2012, the Holyoke City Council approved two major initiatives that will help catalyze redevelopment in the Center City. The Holyoke Redevelopment Authority’s (HRA) urban renewal plan entitled, “Connect. Construct. Housing sales up in the Commonwealth

Recent statistics released by the Realtor Association of Pioneer Valley indicate a 8.9% increase in home sales in the region but a 3.5% drop in sale price last month.  In Hampden County, home sales rose 14.2% in a year, from August 2011 to August 2012. Throughout the State, a similar trend is being observed.
