After The Factory: Film Screening in Holyoke

When a city’s economy collapses, what keeps the population going? What can be done to create jobs? What can be done with abandoned factories? On Friday, January 11th, 2013, Idea Mill will be presenting a screening of After The Factory, a documentary that explores the spirit of innovation, creativity, and re-invention of post-industrial Detroit, Michigan and Lodz, Poland.  The film is a production of Detroit Lives! in association with Topografie Association, of Lodz.

Holiday Holyoke – A Pop Up Shop

Last week (December 14 through 16), a shop popped up at 330 High Street in Holyoke, and Holyoke residents turned out in full force to support it.
